Warming Sock Treatment
This natural treatment is used for acute infections, like a common cold and should be used at the first sign of illness. The treatment works by triggering your immune system to kick-start healing. It has an added bonus of getting you to sleep deeply!
The wet sock treatment is used to treat cold, coughs, bronchitis, sore throat, ear infection, inflammation, and sinus infections.
Don’t utilize this type of treatment if you have Raynaud’s syndrome, intermittent claudication, or arterial insufficiency.
Supplies:
1 pair of cotton socks
1 pair of thick wool socks
Warm bath
Towel
Directions:
Soak the pair of cotton socks in water Then wring the socks out thoroughly so they do not drip. Place the socks in the freezer for several minutes while you continue to step 2.
Enjoy a warm bath for 5-10 minutes. This is a very important step for the effectiveness of this treatment. In fact, it could be harmful if your feet are not warmed first.
Dry off feet and body with a dry towel.
Put on your pajamas on and then place the ice-cold socks on your feet. Cover these with the thick wool socks and go directly to bed. Make sure to have plenty of warm blankets covering your body.
Wear the socks overnight. You will find that the wet cotton socks will be dry in the morning.
Prepare to be amazed in the morning when your feet are dry and yesterday’s sick feeling is a distant memory!
